Dinamo City Wins the Albanian Cup, Defeats Egnatia After Penalty Shootout

Dinamo City clinched the Albanian Cup title after a dramatic match against Egnatia at “Elbasan Arena,” which was decided by penalties following a 2-2 draw in regular time. With no goals scored in extra time, Dinamo City proved more accurate from the penalty spot, winning the shootout 5-4.

The final, held at “Elbasan Arena,” featured a fierce contest between two determined teams. Dinamo’s goals came from Peter Itodo Mandela (2), while Egnatia responded through Guindo and Bakayoko.

The first goal of the match came in the 19th minute from Itodo Mandela, but Egnatia equalized late in the first half through Guindo. In the second half, Mandela scored again in the 61st minute to give Dinamo the lead. However, Egnatia fought back to level the score 2-2 near the end, pushing the game into extra time.

With no goals in either half of extra time, the match went to penalties, where Dinamo City held their nerve and triumphed 5-4, claiming their 14th Albanian Cup title in history.

After the final whistle, a medal and trophy presentation ceremony took place, attended by Albanian Football Association (FSHF) President Armand Duka and General Secretary Ilir Shulku.

President Duka personally handed the medals and the Albanian Cup trophy to the Dinamo City players.
