Dinamo City has qualified for the play-off stage of the UEFA Conference League after defeating Hajduk Split 3-1 at “Air Albania” stadium. The regular time ended 1-0, and in extra time, Dinamo scored two more goals, securing a historic qualification.
The Blues of Dinamo dominated the match, with goals scored by Baton Zabërgja, Eridon Qardaku, and Hekuran Berisha.
Coach Ilir Daja started the match with the following lineup: Teqja (GK), Meksi, Dita, Aliji, Lorran, Nani, Gassama, Qefalija, Bregu, Zabërgja, and Vila.
Dinamo began the game offensively and, after several good chances, opened the scoring in the 14th minute through Zabërgja. The first half ended 1-0.
The second half produced no goals, and the match went into extra time, as Hajduk Split had won the first leg 2-1.
The first half of extra time started better for the Croatians, who equalized through Fran Karacic. But in the second half, Dinamo was spectacular. Qardaku scored the second goal, and Berisha sealed the qualification.
In the play-off stage of the UEFA Conference League, Dinamo City will face Jagiellonia Białystok. The first leg will be played on August 21, and the return leg on August 28.
