Following their historic qualification for the play-off stage of the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brasil, Albania’s women’s national team will learn the names of their opponents for both play-off rounds tomorrow.
The draw will take place at 12:00 PM at UEFA’s headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland, and will be broadcast live on FSHF TV.
The team coached by Armir Grima has eight possible opponents in the first round of the play-offs:
- Slovenia
- Poland
- Serbia
- Ukraine
- Switzerland
- Portugal
- Scotland
- Wales
The Albanian women’s team has previously faced seven of these opponents, while Serbia remains the only potential opponent that Albania has never played against.
The draw will determine not only Albania’s first-round opponent but also its possible path through the second play-off round in the race for a place at the 2027 Women’s World Cup in Brasil.
