Albanian referee Florian Lata will take charge of the UEFA European Under-17 Championship final, one of the most important fixtures on the youth football calendar, as Belgium face Italy.
The final will be played on 7 June at the Lilleküla Stadium in Tallinn, kicking off at 19:00.
Lata has been appointed as the main referee, while the officiating team also includes Albanian assistant referee Mario Shazivari. The second assistant referee will be Nikola Borovic from Serbia, and the fourth official will be Thomas Gary Owen from Wales.
This appointment follows a series of strong performances by Lata throughout the tournament in Estonia. He previously officiated the opening match between Estonia and Croatia on 28 May, and also served as the referee for the France vs Montenegro match on 1 June.
UEFA’s decision to assign Lata to the final is a significant recognition of his performances during the competition, and further evidence of the growing standard of Albanian refereeing on the international stage.
The Albanian Football Association has congratulated Florian Lata and Mario Shazivari on this achievement and wished them success in officiating the final.
The UEFA U-17 EURO final, Belgium vs Italy, will be broadcast live on FSHF TV.
