The ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Albania, GholamHossein Mohamad Nia payed a visit in the headquarters of the Albanian Football Association.
The head of the Iranian diplomacy in Tirana was received by the President of AFA Armand Duka. After got acquainted with the history of Albanian football , visiting the museum of the institution.
During the meeting with the President of the Albanian Football Association , the Iranian ambassador underlined:
‘’I praise the achievements of the Albanian football , during its entire course of its history and especially for the latest results, the qualification in the finals of the European Championship. You have done a wonderful job, and I congratulate you for that. The level of Albanian football has increased and this is evident and the continuation on the path of success is necessary’’.
Ambassador Mohammadnia wished for other successes of the Albanian football , including the qualifying in important competitions such and the World Cup and the European Championship.
Afterward the President of AFA took the floor. ‘’ I am thrilled for the evaluations you made for the Albanian football , for the achievements of the National team and for the work of the federation. I am honored , that one of your first visits in Albania , as a high representative of your country, was in the house of Albanian football’’.
Then , President Duka made a summary of the projects and the plans of the Federation , for further developing the Albanian football. During this meeting , the Iranian ambassador was accompanied by the Charge d’Affairs of the Iranian embassy Reza Ghanavi and the cultural attaché of Iran in Tirana , Eyed Ahmad Hosseini.
