Albania’s women’s team won the friendly match against Romania with a 1-2 scoreline. The goals, scored by Valentina Troka and Megi Doçi, sealed the victory in the match held this afternoon at the “Eugen Popescu” stadium in Romania.
The starting lineup was: Rexhepi (GK), Doçi (c), Elezaj, Franja, Curraj, Krasniqi, Troka, Dedaj, Hila, Berisha, Tukaj.
The Albanian team, coached by Armir Grima, dominated from the start, and the first goal came quickly. It was striker Valentina Troka who put Albania ahead in the 9th minute. Romania equalized through Cristina Carp in the 43rd minute, and the first half ended 1-1.
The second half started differently, with the Albanian team pushing for the winning goal. Coach Grima made several substitutions, bringing on Florentina Kuqi, Rreze Gashi, Mikaela Metalla, and Kristina Hoxhaj.
The winning goal came in injury time, the 93rd minute, scored by captain Megi Doçi.
With this 1-2 victory, the friendly match and the 8-day training camp for the women’s national team came to a close. This camp allowed the coaching staff to assess the physical condition of the players and test new additions to the squad.
