The month of March brings back excitement for the red and blacks fans. A total of 12 matches are scheduled for all national teams, from the Senior National Team to the youth teams for both boys and girls, as well as the Futsal National Team.
The Senior National Team will return to action in March after nearly four months without a training camp. A new qualifying campaign for the 2026 World Cup, new opponents, exciting away trips, and a homecoming await. Albania will face England on March 21 at “Wembley,” followed by a home match against Andorra on March 24 at the “Arena Kombëtare” in Tirana.
The U-21 National Team also has two friendly matches scheduled for this month. On March 21, the red and blacks, led by coach Albania Bushi, will face Greece at “Serres Municipal Stadium”, while four days later, they will play against Luxembourg away at “George Woehlfart” stadium. These two friendlies are very important for the U-21 team and the coaching staff, providing an opportunity to build and solidify the red and black squad, as well as to discover new talents.
The U-19 National Team will also play two friendly matches. Under the guidance of coach Julian Ahmataj, Albania will face North Macedonia on March 21 and 23. Both matches will take place at “Skënderbeu”Stadium.
Meanwhile, from March 19 to 25, Albania will host the second-round matches of Group B6 in the UEFA European Championship “Albania 2025”. The group includes Albania, Azerbaijan, and Wales. Andrea Tedesco’s red and black will face Azerbaijan on March 19, followed by a match against Wales on March 25.
The Futsal National Team will also return to action this month, with their next match against Kazakhstan, scheduled for March 7 away from home.
Meanwhile, the U-17 Women’s National Team will play in Andorra for the second-round matches of the European Championship in their category. Albania is part of Group B3, alongside host country Andorra, Israel, and Belarus. On March 4, the Red & Black girls will face Israel, followed by a match against Andorra three days later. Albania’s third and final match will be against Belarus on March 10.
