The year 2025 has started on a positive note for Albanian football infrastructure, with significant investments from the Football Association. In the first two months of the year, two new pitches have been completed: one in the Parish of “Shna Prenda” in Juban, Shkodër, and another in the annex of the “Skënderbeu” stadium in Korçë. Additionally, the full reconstruction of “Egnatia Arena” stadium has been completed, featuring a modern lighting system, a perimeter LED screen, and various improvements in the stands, including the installation of new seats and other infrastructure enhancements.
Work continues at a high pace in several cities across the country to modernize football infrastructure. At the “House of Football,” two new pitches are under construction, adding to the existing fields used for national team matches and training sessions. Additionally, in Shtoj, Shkodër, a modern artificial turf pitch is nearing completion.
Meanwhile, in Elbasan, work has begun on the reconstruction of a natural grass pitch at the “Shefqet Lamçja” sports complex, while in Gjirokastër, construction is set to start on two new pitches following the complete renovation of the “Luftëtari” stadium field.
In the coming weeks, additional infrastructure projects are expected to be implemented in several cities across the country, further enhancing and developing the conditions for Albanian football.
