18 regional national teams of three respective group ages will compete together for the ‘’ Championship of Regional National Team’’. AFA and the Sector of National Teams in cooperation with the Regional offices begun a beautiful competition that will bring back to the green pitch the nationals teams of U-13, U-15 and U-17. The matches will be played in different cities of Albania, according to a chart and a calendar prepared beforehand. The regional teams of the 3 group ages will be from the cities of Tirana, Durresi, Fieri, Shkodra, Elbasani and Korca. This championship will become a yearly tradition for all the national regional teams , which go through different selection filters until the final team is composed.
The initiator of this championship is the Head of the National Teams , Dritan Babamusta and he commented for this event in the official site of AFA: “It was an idea that was fabricated for some time now , starting with the fact for more representation and extension of football in these zones of Albania. Since that all year around there were selecting stages, and after that every Monday there were practices for every zone, we gave the idea for such championship that will be full of emotions for 15 day all over Albania. Some of the matches will be aired by the platform Supersport, meanwhile AFA has taken every measure for this championship. These group ages will face each other now. They will play in the stadiums and the rivalry will be great, the same the interest of the children for the magical game of football – underlined Babamusta. In the first week will be played three matches , in Elbasan , Shkoder and Fier for U-13, U-15 and U-17.
