The national team will return to the field on September 4th, kicking off its September schedule with a friendly match against Gibraltar. This will be the first-ever encounter between the two national teams.
A friendly between Albania and Gibraltar was initially planned for 2020 at the “Elbasan Arena” stadium, but it was canceled due to COVID-19 restrictions, which made organizing the match and team travel impossible.
The September 4th match will take place at the “Europa Point” stadium in Gibraltar, at 18:00 local time.
After this match, the Red and Blacks will return to Tirana for their second game of the month, against Latvia, which will be played on September 9th at the “Air Albania” stadium. The match against Latvia counts for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
