AFA President Armand Duka and national team coach Sylvinho will closely follow the World Cup draw and will later share their impressions through AFA’s social media channels.
The Albanian national team is in Pot 3. The other pots are divided as follows:
Pot 1: France, Spain, England, Portugal, Netherlands, Italy, Germany, Croatia, Switzerland.
Pot 2: Sweden, Wales, Poland, Romania, Norway, Czech Republic.
Pot 4: Luxembourg, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Estonia, Cyprus, Faroe Islands, Latvia, Lithuania.
Pot 5: Moldova, Malta, Andorra, Gibraltar, Liechtenstein, San Marino.
The European qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup are scheduled to begin in March 2025 and will conclude with the “play-off” phase in March 2026.
Teams that finished first in the Nations League groups and the second and third-place teams that will play for promotion/relegation between the NL leagues will be placed in groups of four and will be part of groups A-F.
