The Football Association continues to establish itself as a reliable organizer on the international stage, successfully hosting six European tournaments in just the first four months of 2026.
From February to mid-April, the Albanian Football Association has hosted and organized a series of important European football events, including two development tournaments for U-16 teams (girls and boys), three qualification tournaments for U-17 girls and U-19 (girls and boys), as well as a futsal preliminary qualifying round.
The organization of these events once again demonstrates the AFA’s infrastructural and organizational capacities, as well as Albania’s growing role as an important destination for the development of football in the region and beyond.
These tournaments have brought dozens of national teams and hundreds of players, along with team staff, to the country—contributing not only to the promotion of youth football but also to enhancing Albania’s image on the international sports stage.
In the coming months, the FSHF will organize more tournaments of this kind, culminating in 2027 with the UEFA European Under-21 Championship finals.
