Albania U-19 Women’s team triumphed with a 4-0 victory against Azerbaijan in the second round of the U-19 European Championship. A brace from Xhesika Ndoj and Rosela Vasa secured the win for the red and black team, led by coach Luçije Gjini.
The Albanian coach chose the following lineup: Rajmonda Spahiu (GK), Herta Hasaj, Angela Nika, Stiljana Guga, Stela Vata, Klesta Ago, Rosela Vasa, Rigela Hysa, Era Methoxha, Xhesika Ndoj (c), and Adela Qose.
The Albanian national team dominated from the start, creating numerous scoring opportunities. The breakthrough came in the 22nd minute with a goal from captain Xhesika Ndoj, while the team controlled the game until the end of the first half.
In the second half, Albania started strong, with Ndoj scoring her second goal for the red and black team in the 47th minute. Gjini’s squad maintained a high tempo, as Rosela Vasa found the net twice in quick succession, in the 56th and 69th minutes, sealing the final 4-0 result. A well-deserved victory for the U-19 National Team, which displayed character and determination in this match.
Albania U-19 will play their third and final match of this round on February 24 against Northern Ireland. The match will take place at Egnatia Arena stadium at 14:30, with free entry for spectators.
