After the U-19 national team friendlies against Italy, it is now the turn of the Albania U-17 team to face their Azzurri peers.
Coach Fatjon Tafaj will make his debut on the U-17 national team bench with two friendly matches to be played in Coverciano, Italy, on August 11 and 13. For these encounters, the Albanian coach has called up 22 players, including 3 goalkeepers, 9 defenders, 5 midfielders, and 5 forwards.
The squad has been refreshed with new names, different from those who participated in the qualifiers and final stages of the last European Championship for this age group.
All players were born in 2009 and come from both Albanian clubs and academies of well-known European clubs such as Inter, Tottenham, Fiorentina, Bologna, Empoli, etc.
The national team will begin their training camp tomorrow directly in Italy, where they will also prepare for the two matches against Italy.
These games against the Azzurri are a good test in preparation for the upcoming European Championship qualifiers for this age group, in which Albania is part of Group 8, along with Croatia, the Netherlands, and Kazakhstan.
