The albanian U-16 National Team played today, at the “House of Football” the first friendly match against Hungary. The red and blacks were defeated 0 – 2.
The coach Andrea Tedesco started the match with this lineup: Simon Lleshi (GK), Elton Dodaj, Frensi Mali, Petro Marku, Emiljanko Malko, Afrim Gashi, Kledi Qosja, Eris Kurtulaj, Arber Lleshi, Alvin Zekaj( C), Denis Matraku.
Albania created the first dangerous opportunity through Kledi Qosja, who attempted a shot in the 7th minute, but the opposing goalkeeper managed to block it. The red and blacks continued to press and came close to scoring again in the 21st minute, when Alvin Zekaj struck from inside the box, but once again, the goalkeeper denied the effort.
The first half ended goalless, with neither team managing to find the net.
Hungary started the second half stronger, taking the lead through a goal by Varga Zsolt. Later, the visitors doubled their advantage with a penalty, successfully converted by Polonkai Noel.
Despite Albania’s efforts to find the net until the final whistle, the match ended in a 0-2 defeat.
The second friendly match between Albania U-16 and Hungary U-16 will take place on Thursday at 14:30 at the “House of Football.”
