Albania will host the “Eagle Cup” for the first time, an international youth football tournament exclusively linked to the “Viareggio Cup.” This important sporting event will take place from June 8 to June 16 in our country.
The inaugural edition of the “Eagle Cup” will feature 12 youth teams from Albania and around the world, turning Albania into a hub for youth football for several days.
The organization of this tournament is made possible through the collaboration of the Albanian foundation “Albtisol,” the Albanian Football Association (FSHF), the University of Sports of Tirana, and the Centro Giovani Calciatori Viareggio (CGC Viareggio), the organizer of the “Viareggio Cup.”
The “Eagle Cup” aims to be more than just a sports competition. It symbolizes activities promoting fair play, the fight against racism, and the social values of sport.
The choice of Albania as the host country for this first edition is no coincidence. It follows the country’s commitment and experience in organizing historic European football events such as the UECL final (Tirana 2022) and the finals of the European Championship “Albania 2025,” scheduled from May 19 to June 1.
Hosting this tournament in June is expected to bring not only football teams but also fans, international media, and various sponsors, turning the event into an important platform for promoting Albania from a sporting, tourism, and economic perspective.
