Albania 0-2 Spain

The national team of Albania , suffered a 2-0 loss against Spain , in the framework of the qualifying round of World Cup ‘’Russia 2018’’. At the match played at the stadium of Shkodra ‘’Loro Borici’’, coach Gianni De Biasi played with Berisha on the goal , in defense Hysaj, Gjimshiti, Mavraj and Agolli, on midfield Lila, Xhaka, Memushaj , Roshi and Lenjani , and the only forward , Balaj.

Spain started on offence , but the red&blacks are good on defense and avoid the danger in front of the goal. On the 18^th minute , Berisha denies goal to Vitolo, with a splendid reflex.

On the 35^th minute , Albania has the first chance to score, after the volley of Lenjani from the left , and Roshi hitting a header , that ends up to the outside part of the goal.

The first half is concludes 0-0 , while the second half starts again with Spain dominating, thus scoring the first goal at the 55^th minute. Berisha tries to kick the ball , mistakenly giving it to Spain , and a combination between David Silva and Diego Costa , surprises the defense , and 1-0 for Spain.

Spain took advantage of this good moment and seven minutes later score the second goal with Nolito, who came in as a substitute in the 60^th minute. The forward makes an incursion from the left , passing Hysaj and defeating Berisha with a diagonal kick. Until the end Albania tries to change the course of the game , but without success.

After this defeat , Albania holds the third place at Group G, with 6 points, the same as Israel, which won 2-1 against Liechtenstein. Spain and Italy ( the latter won 3-2 against Macedonia) share the first place with 7 points each.

Macedonia and Liechtenstein share the last place with 3 losses in 3 matches played during this qualifying round.
