The Albanian Football Association presented its new strategy, “Vision to Victory 2026–2030,” a five-year development plan aimed at improving the entire Albanian football ecosystem—from amateur to professional football, as well as institutional development.
Administrative Director Aldi Topçiu, in an interview with fshf.org, explains that the strategy is not merely a document, but a detailed roadmap that will guide all AFA activities over the next five years. It is the result of extensive consultations with federation members and UEFA Grow experts.
“The Football Federation’s strategy ‘Vision to Victory 2026–2030’ primarily represents a development roadmap for football across the entire country. It is not just a strategic document; it is a foundation upon which AFA will plan football development activities for the next five years.
Vision to Victory is the product of broad consultations between the AFA and its members, as well as with UEFA Grow specialists at the European level. It is the result of a study of all the needs of the Albanian football ecosystem, starting from amateur football and continuing through professional football, as well as other aspects of the institutional development of the AFA. This strategy comes as the outcome of nearly a year of work, during which all needs, responsibilities, and functions identified by the FSHF, its members, and the entire Albanian football community as necessary for development were analyzed. It also reflects the study and conclusions drawn from the previous strategy and cycle launched in 2022,” he said.
Administrative Director Aldi Topçiu emphasizes that the strategy must be implemented in practice and translated into concrete action plans with 1–2 year timelines, so that it does not remain merely a document but serves as a tool for the sustainable development of Albanian football.
“Working through a strategy gives sports organizations a vision to anticipate future challenges. As we have seen over the past five years, having a structure and a strategic framework for organizational development is extremely important. It is crucial that this does not remain just a document, but that it is broken down—just as in the previous phase, into concrete work plans with 1–2 year deadlines, and so on. In this way, the document does not remain on paper, but becomes a concrete action plan for the development of football,” said Administrative Director Aldi Topçiu.
