The Albanian Football Association and the Municipality of Gramsh have signed a cooperation agreement for the reconstruction of the “Myslym Koçi” stadium in Gramsh. The agreement was signed during an official ceremony at the “House of Football” by the AFA President Armand Duka and the Mayor of Gramsh, Besion Ajazi.
This agreement includes the renovation of the locker rooms and the installation of artificial turf on the “Myslym Koçi” stadium field.
Following the signing, President Duka stated that this is just one of several projects that the AFA has with the Municipality of Gramsh. He also emphasized the special cooperation with this municipality and expressed his gratitude to Mayor Ajazi. Furthermore, the head of Albanian football said that AFA is ready to collaborate with any municipality or individual for the development of new sports facilities.
“Today is an important day for the football of Gramsh, primarily, but also for football in general. Here at the “House of Football,” we are launching the project for the reconstruction of the city’s stadium, and we will also discuss new projects with the Mayor. In fact, we have already started discussions, as the Municipality of Gramsh is one of the municipalities most committed to football, and for this, I want to thank the Mayor for his contribution, not only in improving infrastructure and collaborating with us but also in supporting teams, especially the women’s team. This is clear proof of AFA’s dedication to improving infrastructure across every corner of Albania, in collaboration with municipalities or individuals willing to invest in better playing conditions,”- said President Duka in his speech.
In his speech following the signing of the agreement, the Mayor of Gramsh, Besion Ajazi, expressed his gratitude to AFA for the project that will soon come to life, benefiting numerous youth football teams.
“Thank you, President, and AFA, especially for your concrete support regarding the ideas and projects we discussed together some time ago, which are now becoming a reality. These projects focus on improving sports infrastructure in Gramsh. A number of youth football teams, in particular, will benefit from this project. In the city of Gramsh, we have almost all age groups actively practicing football. Thank you very much for the tremendous support you have given to the city, football enthusiasts, and young athletes. On this occasion, I extend the appreciation of the sports community and the citizens of the Municipality of Gramsh,”- said Mayor Besion Ajazi in his speech.
