Under the auspices of the AFA, a festive football tournament was organized to mark the 80th anniversary of the Liberation of Albania, the 112th anniversary of Albania’s Independence, and the anniversary of the establishment of the Armed Forces.
This event, held at the “House of Football”, saw participation from four teams: The Armed Forces Academy, The Police and Security Academy, The Albanian Amateur National Football Team, and Rinia El U-19. The primary aim of the tournament was to honor and remember the heroes and martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the homeland.
After the draw, the semifinal matches were played between The Armed Forces Academy and The Police Academy, as well as The Albanian Amateur National Football Team against Rinia El U-19. The Armed Forces Academy won 3-0 against the Police Academy, while the Albanian Amateur National Football Team triumphed over Rinia El U-19 with a 2-0 scoreline.
The final match was between the Albanian Amateur National Football Team and the Armed Forces Academy. The match ended in a 0-0 draw after regular time, and the Albanian Amateur National Football Team won 4-1 in a penalty shootout.
Following the matches, a special ceremony was held, attended by the AFA General Secretary, Ilir Shulku, the Commander/Rector of the Armed Forces Academy, Brigadier General Bardhyl Nuredinaj, the Director of the Operations and Training Directorate at the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Colonel Fatmir Neziraj, and other representatives of various institutions.
In his speech, Ilir Shulku expressed his hope that this event would become a tradition, with even more beautiful activities organized in the future. He thanked all the participating teams for their dedication and contributions.
Commander Nuredinaj also thanked the AFA and Secretary Shulku for their readiness and contribution to organizing this event, and praised the engagement of all participants in this special tournament.
At the end of the ceremony, medals and trophies were awarded to the teams, and symbolic gifts were exchanged in recognition of the successful organization of the event.
