The Football Association organized a very special event dedicated to all the boys and girls who are volunteers and part of the AFA volunteer network.
Around 70 volunteers participated in this special activity, held at the “Arena Kombëtare” stadium, while the volunteer network includes over 100 volunteers. Through their tireless work, they have become an added value to the Albanian football institution, helping in the successful realization of various activities organized by the Association, both nationally and internationally.
To honor their work and thank them in person, the President of the AFA, Armand Duka, also participated in the special event. In his welcoming speech, he thanked them for their special contribution and for the service they provide to society and Albanian football.
“It is a special day and for me, a very beautiful one, to be part of this activity, where we want to express our gratitude and thank each of you who are in this room, as well as all those who have been part of this initiative and volunteerism for the events organized by the AFA.
By accepting the invitation from your side, we have become the first institution in Albania to have an organized group of volunteers. We started with the Conference League final, with volunteers from all over Albania and even from abroad. Today, we have a consolidated group that contributes to the events organized by the AFA.”
It is a sacrifice on your part, but i believe it is also a pleasure for what you receive in return. Because you see that you are serving not only football but also Albanian society. I want to thank you very much and encourage you to continue doing this work.
Not just for your contribution to our events, but also for the messages you convey, for the solidarity and the empowerment of society. I also thank the AFA administration, Edlira, who was the initiator and takes care of this relationship with great attention.
It is a good opportunity to exchange thoughts on the work we do. We will gather your opinions on what we can all improve together. Since we are also on the eve of the holidays, i wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2025. Thank you!
Some of the volunteers also delivered a greeting speech during this event. Three of them have become part of the AFA administration, working in three different departments, while another group has been involved in the internship program offered by the Federation. The volunteers expressed their satisfaction with the opportunity provided and the support given by the football institution.
