The Albanian Football Association organized today a meeting, to discuss regarding the draft strategy of Albanian football 2020-2025. A working group composed of the leaders of some of the key departments in AFA, members of the Executive Committee of AFA, representatives of clubs and via video-conference, two representatives of UEFA.
In his speech, at the beginning of the meeting, the General Secretary of AFA, Ilir Shulku, explained the great importance that this strategic document has, and it is being drafted in close cooperation with UEFA, for the future development of football and for setting clear goals.
‘’ We organized this meeting to discuss regarding the need for drafting a long-term strategy. We all know that the Albanian Football Association is developed in many dimensions, so without a doubt, we need another dimension for the activities of AFA.
In cooperation with UEFA and with the clubs, we have drafted a long-term strategy. I want to thank the representatives of UEFA, which have been one of the main contributors of drafting this strategy’’, – declared Shulku, underlining once again the priorities of AFA in the upcoming five years.
‘’ It is time to develop the key priorities of the Association and together with the stakeholders, we should raise even more the level of development of football. I would like to mention the key priorities that we unfolded during the General Assembly of AFA, such as women’s football, Grassroot football and infrastructure’’- reiterated the General Secretary of AFA, Shulku.
After presenting the main points that will serve as a base for drafting this document, the attendees of the meeting discussed over new ideas that could be included in the strategy of Albanian football and agreed for a plan for the continuation of the consultative meetings.
