Juxhin Xhaja was named “Referee of the Year” 2024 during the Gala Evening organized by the Albanian Football Association. Xhaja, one of Albania’s most distinguished referees and a FIFA official since 2018, stood out for his exceptional performance throughout 2024,officiating in major European competitions such as the Europa League, Conference League, and Nations League.
The other nominees for this award included Eldorian Hamiti, Enea Jorgji, and Kreshnik Cjapi.
At this special event, Hiqmet Kuka, a former Albanian referee with a FIFA badge, had the honor of presenting the “Referee of the Year” 2024 award to Juxhin Xhaja.
In his speech, Hiqmet Kuka expressed his pleasure in being part of the 2024 “Golden Ball” Gala Evening and congratulated Xhaja on this achievement.
Juxhin Xhaja shared his delight, stating he was honored to receive the award from one of Europe’s most notable referees and extended his gratitude to everyone for their recognition.
