Dear Players, Dear Fans, Dear Friends of Football,
Today we have the pleasure to inaugurate the opening of the Albanian Superliga Championship. This is the 77th season of this activity which has already improved year after year.
I am happy to share with you a positive balance of last season which gave us emotions up in recent matches. Evident proof of this progress is also the participation of our clubs in European competitions UEFA Europa League and UEFA Champions League. I take this opportunity here to make my wishes to Skanderbeg Club in its European challenges and I wish for Kukesi Club as well as any other team to have the same rhythm and performance in the season that is just beginning.
Skanderbeg Club gave us a great and important message: if it is worked seriously, if targets are set and a strategy to achieve them, no matter how difficult the challenges are, success is always achievable.
Albanian football is growing visibly and I wish and believe that this championship will continue to grant us again beautiful events, emotions and above all a beautiful game and fairplay.
Today at a meeting with journalists we presented also the new brand of Superliga and Cup of Albania. This is a novelty for this season, which will provide a better qualitative and more attractive image for our football in the eyes of fans, professionals and potential sponsors and wide public.
Again, my best congratulations for the new season, I am pleased to pass “the ball” to teams, players and fans.
