Armando Cungu

Former professional footballer (1993–2005), with a career in teams in Albania, Greece and Kosovo. He is particularly known for his association with Vllaznia, where he played for several periods and with whom he was declared champion of Albania in the 1997–1998 season.

As a coach, Cungu has managed several teams in the Albanian football elite, including FK Kukësi (2012–2013 and 2018–2019), where his commitment to the European arena in the summer of 2013 stands out, when he led the team to the UEFA Europa League qualifiers. He has also managed KF Laçi (2014–2015 and 2019–2020), with whom he was declared winner of the Albanian Cup and the Super Cup. He has also been the coach of Vllaznia for two years (2016–2018).

At the national team level, he has been the coach of the U-19 National Team (2021–2022), leading the team to European qualifying matches, and previously managed the U-17 of the northern region (2010–2011). His profile combines experience as a player and technical director, along with training in physical education and UEFA qualifications, bringing an approach oriented towards professionalism and increasing the standards of Albanian football.

At the Ordinary General Electoral Assembly of the Albanian Football Federation on 16 February 2026, he was elected a member of the Executive Committee of the Albanian Football Federation.
