Geri Çipi

Former Albanian national football player and one of the most renowned central defenders of his generation. He was formed at Flamurtari, where he played for several seasons in the Albanian football elite, before building a significant career abroad.
During his international career, he played with NK Maribor (Slovenia), where he was also active in European competitions and won trophies in the championship, as well as with KAA Gent (Belgium), where he stands out as one of the most stable periods of his career. He then transferred to Germany to Eintracht Frankfurt, and continued with Rot-Weiß Oberhausen. In Albania, he returned to KF Tirana.
With the national team, Çipi has recorded 34 matches (1995–2005), bringing direct experience from elite football and the standards of international competition. After finishing his sports career, he has been engaged in the private sector as a business leader, combining sports experience with managerial and organizational approaches.
At the Ordinary General Electoral Assembly of the Albanian Football Federation on February 16, 2026, he was elected a member of the Executive Committee of the Albanian Football Federation.
